Most high-performing women aren’t stuck because they lack skill.

They’re stuck because no one taught them how hiring, pay, and promotion decisions are actually made.

Women are taught to be capable, collaborative, and agreeable. Workplaces reward visibility, self-advocacy, and clear results.

That mismatch leaves talented women overperforming yet still underpaid, overlooked, or labeled “difficult” the moment they advocate for themselves.

This isn’t mindset coaching.

It’s practical strategy based on how career decisions are really made -

so you earn more, advocate effectively, and stop overperforming for outcomes that aren’t rewarded.

Bonnie Swartz spent a decade in high-performance sales roles across both large public companies and high-growth startups. She consistently outperformed her peers, yet saw firsthand how effort alone didn’t determine pay, promotions, or authority.

Her career in HR and compensation technology gave her direct exposure into how companies actually structure pay, evaluate performance, and make promotion decisions. Rising to Head of Sales for a global compensation platform, she worked closely  with leadership teams at major organizations and saw the systems behind career outcomes.

After understanding what executives truly prioritize, she repositioned her own work and increased her compensation more than fivefold within two years. . As colleagues began seeking her guidance, her business was born.

Now, Bonnie helps ambitious women stop operating from overperformance and start operating from leverage. She provides clear scripts, negotiation strategies, and positioning guidance to help clients secure the job, the raise, and the promotion they’ve already earned.

Women tend to get stuck at three key points in their careers:
how they’re seen, how they’re paid, and how they handle pressure.

My work focuses on the moments where real decisions and power dynamics shape outcomes.

Career ADVANCEMENT & COMPENSATION

(Internal growth + pay)

For: Women delivering strong results but not receiving the recognition, compensation, or opportunities that reflect their impact.

  • Framing your work in leadership and outcome language
  • Increasing visibility without awkward self-promotion
  • Structuring a credible case for promotions & performance reviews
  • Salary and promotion negotiation strategy
  • Scripts and role-play for raise and promotion conversations

Your value is clearly positioned and paid accordingly.

interviewing & career moves

(Getting hired + negotiating offers)

For: Women changing roles, negotiating offers, or pursuing bigger opportunities.

  • Strategic career moves
  • Interview narrative & storytelling
  • Positioning pivots and nonlinear paths
  • Setting compensation expectations early
  • Evaluating & negotiating offers (salary, equity, variable comp)

You land roles that reflect your actual value, not just your past titles.

Workplace Power Dynamics

(High-stakes or political moments)

For: High-pressure or politically complex situations that feel unfair & emotionally charged

  • Difficult conversations with managers
  • Workplace politics and perception issues
  • Setting boundaries and responding strategically (not emotionally)
  • Handling dismissive or defensive leaders
  • Deciding when to push, reposition, or exit

You handle pressure and politics with strategy - not just stress

I was ready to accept the first offer a new company presented to me,, but Bonnie helped me see where I was undervaluing myself compared to the market. She showed me how to reference the total compensation plan and since the commission structure was low, encouraged me to ask for a higher base and sign-on bonus, giving me the script to ask for more without sounding greedy. That conversation led to a $25K increase in my offer.

As a tenured professional in the ad tech industry, I was transitioning from publicly traded Fortune 500 companies to my first startup  and didn't know how to interpret the equity portion of the offer. Bonnie helped me understand what numbers actually mattered and gave me the right questions to ask. I set up a meeting with the  finance team and was able to walk into that conversation prepared. What I appreciated most was how practical and straightforward her advice was. She helped me feel prepared  going into conversations that would otherwise feel intimidating.

My responsibilities had expanded into multiple roles, but my compensation hadn’t changed regardless of the fact I had manager responsibilities without the pay or title. Bonnie helped me turn the work I had done the prior year into a clear business impact and build a numbers-driven case tied to revenue and retention. With that, I was able to send a direct, professional email to leadership and secure a $15K end-of-year bonus I wasn’t expecting.
